About the Press

The Series in Empirical Research (SER) publishes peer-reviewed monographies in English and Spanish. The primary interest of this series is to promote original research and interesting applications that revolve around econometric and statistical methodologies, especially those motivated by a clear intention to address an economic or statistical challenges rooted in real-world data applications, focusing on practical applications across various fields, including statistics, economics, demography, engineering, finance, epidemiology, and other related scientific disciplines.

Theoretical monographies are also welcome, if the presented methodology is accompanied by a real data application or by an example that would demonstrate its applicability to real data.

Each submitted monography will be initially assessed by the Editor in terms of its scope and merits. If the monography is considered unsuitable for publication, it may be rejected at this stage. At the next stage the Editor assignes two independent experts in the area, who will thoroughly evaluate the quality and suitability of the monography for publication and provide their feedback. The referees will not be aware of the author’s identity.
